But let me ask you these important questions...

Why do you insist on doing everything yourself?

Why don't you ask for help?

Why are you trying to do this all on your own?

Why will you only invest in your business but you won't you invest in YOU?

I know why

It's because independent women like you feel like you have to handle everything yourself

When deep down what you really want is someone to take the load off you

You want to be truly seen, valued & appreciated for who you are & what you do

You want to feel understood & have a space where you can show up as just you

No mask, no performance, no judgement

You're tired of quietly doubting yourself, shaming yourself & being hard on yourself

I know you're capable, I know you're good at what you do

I know most people don't truly understand what's going on for you

I know you don't want to be a burden either

But I also know you can be your own worst enemy

Because this was me for years too

The deep truth?

I didn't fully trust or love myself

After being in a narcissistic relationship for 13 years, my self worth was none existent

I'd endured years of being disrespected, shamed, gaslit & financially abused

It took everything I had to get out of that relationship & rebuild my life from the ground up

I became a single mum when my children were just 8, 6 & 4

I experienced deep shame & guilt having been the one who 'broke up the family'

I felt like a failure because the relationship hadn't worked & I was a single mum

I then felt I had to prove myself & so I worked harder than ever before

I shut off from my emotions & decided to stay single (forever)

I felt that was the only way I could guarantee mine & my children's safety

I didn't want anyone to know my insecurities as I felt they could use them against me

My shame. My pain. My fears.

I was too proud & I didn't want to be seen as a burden either

I'd been so let down & hurt in the past that I kept my heart very close to my chest - closed even

I remained single for years

I didn't speak up in coaching groups

I kept everything pretty much to myself

People jokingly referred to me as 'the iceberg'

That what you actually saw, was only ever a fraction of who I really was

They weren't wrong

External appearances were always maintained as I was now the head of my family

The strong one, keeping everything & everyone around me OK.

The strong, independent woman & single mum

Smiling through the tough times. Putting my game face on for work.

There was always so much going on in my head & pain inside my body that no one would ever know about

Only me

As that's how I believed I kept myself safe

By shutting everyone else out

It's crazy how we can be surrounded by so many people yet feel invisible, lonely & that no one understands us
